Own the cards. Build the deck. Control the protocol.
forbiddenprotocol.com is the home of Forbidden Protocol, a competitive digital card game built around actual card ownership. Your collection is designed to be more than a locked account inventory: cards can be owned, traded, and resold while still powering a full strategy game built around deck construction, tactical play, and an evolving meta.
True Card Ownership
Forbidden Protocol uses NFT-backed cards so the collection you build is actually yours. Ownership is portable, persistent, and designed to support resale and player-to-player trading rather than trapping value inside a closed account system.
Deck Building and Collecting
Collect new cards, shape synergistic strategies, and tune your list around control, tempo, pressure, or disruption. Building the right deck is as much a part of the game as piloting it well.
Multiplayer Modes
Queue into matchmaking when you want the system to find an opponent, or use challenge mode to go directly after a specific rival. The game is built for repeat competitive play, experimentation, and mind games.
Practice Before You Risk the Meta
A single-player practice mode gives you a space to learn lines, test deck changes, and sharpen your play before stepping back into ranked or direct challenges.
What the full experience is built around
- collecting scarce cards and expanding your playable pool
- constructing custom decks around archetypes and combo lines
- trading or reselling cards while preserving real ownership
- moving between practice mode, open challenge play, and live matchmaking
Current status
The public site is intentionally slim right now so development can continue without carrying the full runtime cost of the original stack. The game, marketplace, and service infrastructure are being staged for the next phase.
For Returning Operatives
One surviving signal still answers the status code every browser returns when a request is forbidden. Those who already know the number know where to look.
